Twenty years developing industrial products and running the full cycle, from strategy through to manufacturing, across sectors as different as rail, machinery, construction, medical devices and plastic injection moulding.
I am Miguel Pérez Planas. vitamINN comes out of taking part in the creation and growth of industrial businesses, and of building from scratch the departments that develop products and complex processes.
That work has been done in very different settings: highly regulated sectors such as rail or medical devices, where the standard shapes the design from day one, and new industrial processes, where there is no precedent to follow. In all of them the goal has been the same: a product with differential value, in performance and for whoever buys it, with costs under control and with a layer of proprietary innovation, protected through patents and utility models.
Working both inside and outside the innovation ecosystem, with universities, technology centres and in-house teams, makes it possible to address innovation at its three scales: incremental, adjacent and disruptive.
The vitamINN methodology is the result of that experience, tested across all those sectors. It is aimed at companies that develop products —technical offices, R&D departments and engineering firms— and it seeks the same thing we sought there: shortening time to market, raising quality, increasing innovation and getting more developments through to production.

Design, engineering, production and planning under a single management. Transformation of the technical office into Resol Studio and reduction of the project cycle from two years to one, with an in-house TRL-based methodology.
Technical director and innovation director
Growth of the engineering team to more than 40 professionals from different disciplines. Implementation of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485. Development and certification of a Class IIa ventilator during the pandemic.
Head of Project Engineering
Creation of the engineering department, grown to 25 people. International rail projects. Industrialisation of the six towers of the Sagrada Família. Seven patents.

What is inside vitamINN
The TRL/MRL gate method is the one I developed to cut the project cycle from two years to one.
The industrialisation criteria come from taking products to series production in injection moulding, rail and medical devices.
The industrial property approach is based on 15 patents of my own and on working with chartered agents across several sectors.
The public funding logic comes from managing and reporting CDTI, MISIONES and H2020 programmes, in consortium with universities and technology centres.

A substitute for your judgement. The final validation rests with whoever commissions the work: you decide what goes into the project. vitamINN does the preliminary analysis so that decision is made with the information already gathered.
