The Ecodesign Regulation will require declaring durability, repairability, recycled content and substances for almost any physical product in the EU. This module tells you where the product stands and gathers that information before anyone asks for it.

A diagnosis, axis by axis

The assessment places the product on the nine axes the Ecodesign Regulation requires you to be able to declare, and says what is missing to move up on each one.

Figures that aren’t made up

The carbon footprint is computed in code from public-database factors; the model does not write it. And every data point keeps its source, its year and its confidence level: one with no document behind it is marked as such.

Ecodesign assessment

Passport EPD-ready

environmental assessment · with footprint

The product record: composition, the carbon footprint of the materials, circularity, declared substances and traceability of every data point. It gathers the information the Digital Product Passport and a future environmental declaration are going to require.

Tool 3

REACH/RoHS dossier

substances · no AI

It cross-checks what each supplier declares against the ten substances in RoHS Annex II and the 512 on the ECHA Candidate List. It is arithmetic, not AI: it comes out instantly and uses no quota. And it drafts the letter to send to whoever has not declared yet.

Where it is used

The ecodesign assessment and the product assessment work standalone, at company level, and also inside a project, where they start from its context and the result is filed in its record. The REACH/RoHS dossier is project-only: it is built on the project's bill of materials, and outside it there would be nothing to cross-check.

Without repeating what you’ve already done

The assessment reuses the bill of materials from the engineering module and any ecodesign assessment you already have, instead of asking you the same thing again. That same bill of materials is where the footprint and the substances dossier come from.

How far the footprint goes

It covers the embodied emissions of the materials. Manufacturing energy, transport, the use phase and end of life are declared as pending data instead of being estimated, and the document always states what percentage of the mass goes into the total. A total that silently ignores part of the product looks rigorous and isn't.
